MicroNeedling

 Why have Microneedling?

Microneedling is almost perfect in its simplicity.

With most skin rejuvenation therapies the objective is to create minor trauma to the dermis in order to stimulate the increased production of the body's own natural skin healing and skin enhancing proteins, collagen and elastin. Microneedling uses a specially designed electronic device to project multiple, but incredibly fine tipped, needles into the skin - typically to a depth of between 0.5 and 0.75mm. These needles create the tiny areas of damage that signal to the skin that repair and reconstruction is necessary and the production of collagen and elastin is stepped up.

What makes Microneedling so special and effective is that prior to needling the skin is covered in one of a number of serums that dramatically enhance the effectiveness of this treatment. The action of the needling introduces this serum directly into the dermis and the results become magnified. The serums available are appropriate for different skin types and conditions and will be selected for your own specific requirements.

 Does MicroNeedling hurt?

Most people find Microneedling nothing more than slightly uncomfortable. This is because of the quality and fineness of the needles used. It does feel slightly uncomfortable though, particularly around the areas of the face where the skin is thinnest over the bone. In these areas you may feel like you need to hold your breath a bit.  Nobody I have treated yet has asked me to stop at any point!

I am a bit of a delicate flower myself and have a real fear of needles but I can handle MicroNeedling  with no problems.
