Why have a Dermalift non-surgical facelift?
Underneath the skin on our face are dozens of tiny muscles that enable us to form facial expressions such as smiling or frowning. As we age, however, these muscles begin to lose mass and weaken. As a result our faces become tired, saggy, wrinkly and just plain older looking!
The Silhouette Dermalift machine was originally developed to treat stroke victims whose faces had suffered from partial paralysis and sagging. It does this through the application of minute electrical currents to specific areas of the face with specially designed facial probes. This works in a similar manner to TENS machines or those belts you see advertised to get yourself a six pack.
Now licenced for use in the beauty and skincare industry, it provides a non-surgical facelift by using those micro-currents to directly stimulate facial muscles, toning and strengthening them and returning the more youthful vigour we'd all like back.
It is particularly effective around the eyes and jawline where the signs of age-related muscular weakening are especially (and depressingly) obvious.
This treatment is recommended as a course of between 6 and 10 sessions - twice weekly for 3 to 5 weeks in order to get the maximum benefit, followed by a maintenance treatment every 4-6 weeks.
